HOW IT WORKS

Coordinated Care for Your Claim

Work injuries — from a single bad lift to repetitive strain — get the same hands-on evaluation as any other injury. We document findings and treatment so your care lines up with your workers’ compensation claim, using the same trauma-qualified, expert-witness-certified documentation standards we apply to any injury case.

Illinois workers’ comp cases follow a binding fee schedule (820 ILCS 305/8), and there’s been no balance billing to the patient since 2005 — our office coordinates billing directly with the carrier rather than billing you for the difference. If a claim is disputed, it’s handled through the circuit court process rather than between you and our office.

Common Work Injuries We See

Workplace injuries generally fall into two categories: a single acute event — a fall, an awkward lift, a slip — or a repetitive strain that builds up over weeks or months of the same motion, posture, or load. Both are common in physically demanding jobs (lifting, standing, driving) and in desk jobs (prolonged sitting, repetitive typing or reaching), and both are handled the same way: a hands-on exam to find out what’s actually going on, not an assumption based on your job title.

Your exam findings, the date and mechanism of injury, and any work restrictions get documented clearly, since that record is what your employer and the workers’ comp carrier rely on to process the claim. If your job has physical demands that affect your recovery timeline — heavy lifting, standing for long shifts, repetitive motion — that context is part of how we build your plan, not an afterthought.
